We must REPENT of our sins. Sin is what separates us from God.  In order to seek God’s forgiveness, we must be willing to repent of that sin. Repentence means to “turn away from sin” and put forth an effort to live free from sin. (1 Corinthians 6:9-11)  If we aren’t willing to leave behind a sinful life and repent of our sins, we cannot be saved. (Acts 17:30-31)
